Cornelly Striders are a friendly and sociable club catering for all abilities. Training Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Just Run Pen Y Bont

Just Run Penybont is a new social running group in Bryntirion, Bridgend for beginners & those who love to run for fun. All abilities welcome. No fees. Adventure & fun guaranteed. You can also find out more on Twitter here.

OGMORE PHOENIX RUNNERS

Ogmore Phoenix is an affiliated running club, made up of 200+ members with different abilities, based in and around the Ogmore Valley in South Wales. Look them up on their website here.

Pencoed Panthers

Pencoed Panthers is a social and competitive affiliated running club with training sessions for all abilities. They meet Mondays and Wednesdays at 7pm at Pencoed Social Club. They have different groups from beginners to intermediate to advanced. They also have a smaller group who run at 8pm.

Free NHS RUNNING Podcast

You can also get fit on your own via the NHS Couchto5k app.

Use the free running plan to go from couch to running 5K (or 30 minutes) in just nine weeks. Download the podcasts, find your trainers and off you go! 

Local Events

Maesteg parkrun is a free, weekly, timed 5k walk/jog/run for all ages & abilities. It starts at 9am each Saturday and is organised by volunteers. Register on their website, print your barcode & join in! You can also find them on Twitter here.
